Get ready for your
One Week In Paradise!

We’re so excited you’ll be joining us for One Week In Paradise!

At One Week In Paradise, our goal is to give you a taste of paradise through wholistic health experiences. Together, we’ll step away from life’s hustle and distractions to reset our health and learn how to reverse disease through lifestyle change.

Here’s what you need to know to prepare for your week in paradise.

  1. First, complete your blood work

It is important that you complete your blood work at least a week prior to arrival so that the medical team will have your results for the initial consultations.

If you have not received an email with the lab requisition, please email us immediately at: immersions@lifestylemed.org

2. Complete the consent form

Speed up the check-in process by completing the online informed consent form.

3. Do you want to capture your experience at OWIP?

This includes before and after video interviews sharing your expectations and experience at OWIP.

4. We’ll be doing a juice detox for the first two days. Please skip breakfast, caffeinated drinks (including coffee) and alcohol on the first day (Monday May 1, 2023)

While we ask all our guests to arrive fasted, you may drink water, non-caffeinated tea or home-made juice. We also ask guests to refrain from coffee since it will affect the InBody body composition results.

You’ll receive 3 daily freshly squeezed, nutrient-packed juices on the first two days.

Carpool

Are you able to provide a carpool to other guests who may need a ride to and from One Week In Paradise?

Meet your OWIP clinical team here!
Our qualified, friendly and caring healthcare providers exemplify what true healthcare should be all about: service that is compassionate.

Spirituality and health

Heard of Seventh-day Adventists? They’re a Protestant Christian denomination who put a unique emphasis on healthy living, operate one of the largest global hospital and health systems, and recognized as one of the longest living and healthiest people groups in the world.

One Week In Paradise is put on by Adventist healthcare providers and includes some spiritual components such as morning devotional talks. You are welcome to join them if you so choose; if not, that’s totally fine as well. This program is for anyone and your personal beliefs will be fully respected.

Delicious meals!

The meals will be fully plant-based (no meat, dairy or eggs), gluten-free and anti-inflammatory.

As we will learn throughout the week, a predominantly whole foods plant-based diet is scientifically shown to help prevent and even reverse many chronic diseases and optimize longevity and health. In our week together, not only will you taste delicious plant-based foods, but also learn how to cook and integrate them in your daily life.

You will also receive a nutrient-packed freshly made juice each evening tailored to your health needs.

The first day (Sunday) will be a juice detox so please arrive on Sunday without eating breakfast.

Covid-19 protocols

  • Sanitation protocols will be followed throughout the facilities.

  • All guests, staff and visitors will be screened for Covid symptoms upon arrival.

  • Vaccination is not required for participants and staff

These protocols are subject to change based on public health guidelines.
